Carpool Community Routes

This section helps you better understand how Routes work in the Carpool Community: how they’re created, how compatibility with other users is found, and what information is visible.

The Carpool Community is a safe space designed to help you find coworkers or other carpoolers who commute along similar routes. Only users participating in an active Mission can access the Community, and everyone is verified through their company or organization.
Routes are generated automatically based on the home and work addresses you’ve entered in the Personal Locations section of your profile.
The algorithm compares the routes of all Carpool Community members and shows you a list of carpoolers with compatible commutes. You can contact them directly through the chat.
Routes are considered in both directions: home → work and work → home. It’s up to you and your carpool partners to coordinate suitable times and meeting points.
Carpooling relies on mutual trust and respectful behavior. Please be courteous in chat conversations and during shared trips. Report any inappropriate behavior: the community works best when everyone contributes positively.
Other carpoolers will never see your exact starting or ending point. Only part of your route is displayed—just enough to assess compatibility without compromising your privacy.
To increase your chances of finding travel companions, we recommend completing your carpooler profile:

  • Share something about yourself: introduce who you are, what routes you take, and when you’re available.
  • Specify if you have a car available, or if you’re traveling as a passenger only.
  • Upload a real photo of yourself (avoid avatars or random images): it helps others recognize you and feel more confident starting a conversation.
